Drake Shortsword

This version of the Drake sword has a grip wrap which matches the Dragonspear sword. The blade is made from 5160 high carbon steel and is hardened and tempered. The guard and pommel are bronze. The pommel is hot peened and keyed to the tang. The grip is a wood core with leather wrap over a spiral cord riser. The scabbard is leather over a wood core with a bronze chape and locket.

This version of the Drake sword has a blade made by Fable Blades in Australia. It's made from 9260 high carbon steel and is hardened and tempered. I designed the blade shape and did the grip wrap on this sword to be a companion piece to the second version of the Dragonspear sword. The guard is banzaipeened to the tang and the pommel is keyed and hot peened to the tang. The grip has a wood core with a leather wrap over a spiral cord riser.
