I do other stuff too.

I’ve been making custom swords for around two decades as of the time of this writing. There wasn’t much available in the functional fantasy sword style back then, and what was available tended to be quite poorly made, so I started learning how to make my own.

I began with simple things like distal taper in the blade, having the pommel keyed and peened to the tang, and doing a proper heat treatment on good quality blade steel. Basic things that were lacking in much of the fantasy sword market. I continued to refine and adjust my techniques over the years, and continue to research and learn.

I studied German Longsword for about seven years and did Iaido for a couple of years as well, so have a decent idea of how a sword should feel. My preference is to make fully functional, well-balanced swords which are also artistically designed to look like something beyond the ordinary. But I’ll also make a big crazy sword based on someone’s favorite cartoon, though I still try to make it as usable as possible within the confines of the basic design.
