Tiger Shark (Galeocerdo cuvier)

One of the largest of shark species, a mature tiger shark can average 10-14 feet (3.25-4.25 meters) and weigh 850 -1400 pounds (385-635 kg). They can be found in many of the world's temperate and tropical oceans. Tiger sharks are second only to white sharks in number of reported attacks on humans. Currently listed as "near threatened" throughout it's range.
